Do you ever get attracted to someone online solely from the way they write their stuff?

To me, spamming emoticons and smilies and overexaggerated *actions* don't cut it for me. I need to explain this a bit...

You see, masculine and feminine speech are more discrete in Japanese. Some words and expressions are exclusive to their gender. I find feminine Japanese writing very cute. It doesn't even have to have kaomoji, it's to the point that a girl who uses 'atashi' as their first-person would simply score more.

I follow a few native Japanese girls on Twitter and this is where I found out... Of course, one must exercise precaution that maybe the person behind the account is probably a greasy kimoota, but I would suspect that passing off and typing like a girl takes great detail in comprehending the female mind and thinking pattern and expressing it flawlessly as well, something I don't think many of us could do.

I now know why I haven't realised this for so long. Most eroge are narrated in the third person or from the shujinkou's perspective, but whenever it switches to the heroine's, it gets very interesting, basically the female mind is intriguing to say the least. Does the author really know how a female mind works? It now comes to the subject of good authors, who must express both genders for their characters equally as strong. Most eroge writers are male, and the majority of eroge heroines are superficial anyway...

Can't you guys STOP MAKING CROSSOVER GAMES? To people like me who go crazy over one universe colliding with another, this is damn overkill.

Now I dunno what I should get - this or ToV or Beryl. And I am NOT gonna start mentioning TTT Gaiden.

EDIT: ...and they've got my fave Atelier girl in, Vio of A5. A5 is my fave Atelier. Vio is not only hawt, she wears green, she loves carrots, and most importantly, her seiyuu is Noriko Shitaya, who also voices a certain Himeko Kurusugawa.

I know some of you hate micro-blogging, but for me one of its pluses over blogging is the spontaneity of it. In other words, the updater is fast-loading.

As you know I own a dozen blogs, but the thing that puts me off updating in places such as WordPress and (my embarrassingly not-so-secret) Vox is the update page that takes like 5 minutes to load. Formatting tools are handy, but shouldn't be so much that it gets really slow to finally show the update page up. But you don't need all these kind of things in a micro-blog, which would prefer you to just update with one-liner trash instead of pretty, well-thought out entries.

Clients are a blessing, as we also know LJ has clients that are real handy to use, on top of its already fast-loading and convenient update page (with draft saving, something we all wanted once upon a time). I'm quite sure there are clients for other blogging platforms (even universal clients - seen those on some Linux distros, but they're probably kinda buggy) but I'm not really keen on getting more of them.

For the record, long before Twitter began I've already micro-blogged(?) on my Xanga, which nobody really notices. Unfortunately their update page has gotten more cramped in recent times...

Inbetween emptying my room (it appears that I also need a wall repaint) and Facebook games (*shakes fist* curse you), I've began picking up the thing about making one's own food.

I don't know what you think about a guy who can't cook (if you're preparing an assault, there's a lot of us, in my defense) but I'm not totally dumb about it. I think I fare better than my brother as a matter of fact (won't even go and prepare his own noodles... lol). But before this I've always hold the perception that cooking isn't worth the trouble. I mean, a dish made in 60 minutes would be eaten up in 5. It's worse when you fail, because no one but you would have to eat the failure (or let it go to waste).

But as I've mentioned, Vamp-sama showed to me that there are simple dishes you and anyone else can make, which taste good and is healthy to boot. All it needs is just the ingredients and the spirit to try. Also, the other day my mom called me a freeloader who only knows how to eat (amongst other insults) so I'm gonna show her that I actually know a bit more. Lastly it's hearing the kitchen exploits of other people that makes me want to do the same.

I've started making my own soba. Okay fine, the main job is no different than making my own instant fried noodles, but I'd have to be a little extra creative with what I can do with soba alone, since there's no prepackaging of the seasoning that goes with instant noodles. I've now realised that this isn't going anywhere without dashi so I'd have to go and find instant dashi stock...

I find this amusing because when I dine out at Japanese restaurants I never order soba. I guess it's because I can do it on my own? But if, on this New Year's Eve I'm serving toshikoshi soba to my family, that means I've done it. Wait, does that also mean I'm only gonna cook soba from now on?

Happy birthday to sarcasteak and HIMEKA!

I'm currently in the process of emptying my room, because it's gonna be refurbished with new flooring. Strictly speaking it's not really "my" room before, since it was the place where most of the family's books are stored and I was at the dorms most of the time, but the recent house expansion means that there's a new space for the library, so I'll have to sort all these books out myself before I place them.

I'm kinda pissed because my mom isn't letting me have the PS2 in my room, despite being the only person who's playing it (yay Japanese games~) because she insists every freaking game console has to be stored in the game room, which makes it less private for me, and I don't like playing games there because the TV is placed too high (I like playing games while sitting down crosslegged). She's giving me the excuse that my room lacks space because of the PS2, but really, whose closetful of clothes are these? Her own space is a tad messier anyway. Anyway I'll have to take out everything first, then deal with this issue later. I'm still annoyed I have to do this though, and that they're spending money on my welfare (I wanted stuff like this done on my own budget) but after testing out on how much room space I'll get from this and how hygienic it is without all the dusty shelves, I think I'll just have to get on with it.

The cancelled Hello Kitty musical? Well, to this date there are still no refunds issued. The company already said that the loss from the cancellation costs about building 3 full houses, so I don't think we'll hear from them anytime soon.

Lastly, you all need to watch Astro Fighter Sunred, it's a hell load of crack. Thanks to Shimo for including the OP in his recent medley, that's where I started to know about the series. I think I'm gonna start picking up cooking because Vamp-sama is _that_ awesome.

I've been writing quite embarrassing stuff lately. Sigh. *shrug*

I think what they told me is true - once an opportunity shows itself, it comes in drones. I have until next week to apply for a job in the Japanese embassy. And this comes after I've found and applied for some favorable posts near home, too. Gonna really think hard about this...

The house is currently under restructuring, so it's gonna be a noisy few weeks. Not even my good headphones can put off the drilling noises yesterday morning. Which also means I can forget about sleeping in from 9 onwards.

There's a new hotpot restaurant uptown, I ate some nice shabu-shabu and would seriously like more. A lot more. I think it's less expensive than the sushi joints out here, and a lot more appetizing. Now I just need to find someone to bring along with me...

I think I shouldn't wait for l33t-raws to watch K-On!, otaru_lime looks to be too busy to put the up for this season at least. I've got Saki to watch too, I'm a closet mahjong player.

Marimite S4 Review

Preface

I never thought Marimite would make me watch anime but it did. The first thing that caught me was the beautiful ending theme, sung by a singer I've always liked, Kaori Hikita. Its cover art is Yumi and Touko separated by the titular glass barrier. I went on and translated the ED here. I must be honest with you, I haven't watched any of the previous 3 seasons, save one ep, that was regarding Rei and Yoshino. So this one's written by a guy who hasn't really delved deep into the Marimite universe so to speak.

So some entries ago I posted about Touko and congrats for being Yumi's soeur. Little that I knew, that the signs were there all along. Soon as you start it this shows up:

The Garden of Maidens

Which definitely means, even if you didn't read the novels, that Touko will eventually be Yumi's.

The OP sequence is heavily based on the OP theme itself, giving glancers quite the wrong impression about the series:

Thoughts

(Putting this above Storyline Summary because page-loading would push this down if I put it after)

I had the feeling that the whole thing was rushed but looking back at it again, it was only slightly done so. I would have preferred more drama actually, even though I usually hate conflict in my anime, because it's kinda surreal that everyone can act in such a positive way towards others. Even the arrogance of Touko is a whimper to other roles Kugyu plays.

Speaking of Kugyu, her voice acting was outstanding. It was the right Kugyu for me - not the one that gives you the Kugimiya Virus, but never boring either. And what about the character herself. All the lessons Touko learned along the way, I can relate those to myself too. Touko's soul-searching and owning-up should be a great moral lesson.

Kashiwagi earns my respect. From what I heard he is an arsehole in the earlier seasons but this season proved what a good man he is, irrelevant of which way he swings he showed the wonderful thing that is love in different facets. He was so central to the plot, having a connection with Sachiko, Touko and Yumi.

The plot was 80% Chinensis. It's probably wise that Yoshino's new sister isn't that much involved yet because it'll distract things, but alas, she is revealed. Shimako's parts are diminished, good news for Noto who's been very busy as of late. But I'm a fan of ShimakoxNoriko, this season showed how they were meant for each other.

I'm amused that Pizza Hut gets airtime in Marimite. I can understand if it's in Code Geass and Sorakake, but putting pizza in an anime with girls like in Lillian? Surely pizza is not part of the diet, but ah well, marketing and whatnot.

From what I remembered in the first two seasons, I didn't like the art style, but it has greatly improved since. Facial expressions are less shoujo-mangaish and more into the current anime style and groove.

Ahh I'm sorry if this is just random writing without any proper guidelines. I was skeptical at first but fact is that Marimite is really a nice universe to live in, and this season could make many more new fans like me into the series.

Storyline Summary

Please note that the summaries are real, the screen captions aren't serious and the mouseovers are SRS-BSNS.

The show starts off rather tamely, with attention shifting a bit more to Kanako, probably tying loose ends from the previous season. The School Festival arc has Yumi and the Yamayurikai perform a cross-dressing play directed by Sachiko, which disturbs Kanako because she'll be playing a male role. Touko's acting skills are also needed since she's in the drama club, they themselves showcasing Little Women with Touko playing Amy.

Touko skips practice. Yumi confronts her and gradually convinces her to go back to the drama club. This is the start of many Yumi-Touko situations.

The day of the festival, Sei and Youko meets a guardian without a ticket.

"You look familiar."

After some small talk with Touko, Yumi then encounters a desperate Kanako running away from somebody she doesn't want to meet, but is dragged to the infirmary by Sachiko.

From there Kanako resolved her differences with her dad and the mistress who is also Kanako's fave senior, Yuuko.

It must be scary to have a really tall stepdaughter

Yuuko lets Kanako have her baby Chikako.

I wonder if Chikako will be as tall as her half-sister...

Because of this Yumi was late for Touko's Little Women performance. She pokes at it after the play ended.

Tell you the truth, I haven't read Little Women...

Unfazed, Yumi pulls her by the hand to hurry on to get ready for Yamayurikai's own play, Touko still in Amy garb.

The play goes well, Kanako (nearly) gets her lines properly spoken. Night falls, and so does the anniversary of Yumi and Sachiko becoming sisters. Sachiko says there's nothing special about the day because Yumi is her sister yesterday, today and the future, there's nothing to commemorate.

With Yumi still in tears to that heartful scene, Sachiko promptly commands her to find a sister.

So starts the Soeur Audition arc, Yoshino also needing to find a sister due to her promise to Eriko.

Suddenly they look desperate...

It proved to be a disaster, with Touko not joining despite being the hot favourite for Yumi, and the candidates not up to scratch unlike the furore it caused.

You'd think at least one or two of these girls are decent enough...

The day comes when Yoshino has to introduce her new sister to Eriko. After considerable acts of trying to cover it up, she stumbles across Nana Arima. Yoshino is saved by Nana, but in truth Eriko knew, as Nana is still a junior high student, her uniform covered under a sweater.

School Holiday arc is where the story gets more deep. Yumi and Sachiko goes for a date in the amusement park, but Suguru Kashiwagi shows up with his gay partner, Yumi's brother Yuuki.

Yumi understandably gets fixated and jealous seeing Kashiwagi. But after frolicking too much Sachiko has a blackout, fortunately Kashiwagi was there to help. He brings them all home to his place, where Sachiko is nursed to health. After a one-on-one with Kashiwagi on what she thinks of him, Yumi is told that she must aim a lot higher than just reeling over Sachiko's fiancee.

"I'm your comrade, not your foe."

Now at Sachiko's bedside, Yumi gets more advice in which there's nothing to be jealous about despite how much Kashiwagi knows her as childhood friends and so being with her company longer - because Kashiwagi couldn't do more things Yumi can do with Sachiko.

Days later, Yuuki spots Touko wandering around outside, and invites her inside the Fukuzawa household. This comes after Kashiwagi calling Yumi for Touko's whereabouts. Apparently there's an altercation with Touko's parents which resulted in Touko running away from home.

Touko is invited into Yumi's room, somewhere even Sachiko has never been in. Despite Touko's reluctancy, Yumi pulls her inside.

Talk about uncharted territory

There, Yumi has visions of a cold Touko and gets the urge to cuddle her. However, her act is spoiled by the dinner bell.

After dinner, Kashiwagi picks Touko up. Curious about her visions and why she left home in the first place, Yumi asks him the following day, but he asks her to think twice about wanting to know, "for her and your own sake".

Christmas arc. The Yamayurikai Christmas Party is held, among invited guests are Nana, Kanako and Touko. Touko recites lines in A Little Princess/Princess Sarah for her introduction.

Foreign literature in Japan is a very interesting subject. Like how "Gone with the Wind" becomes "Kaze to Tomo ni Sarinu"

After much fun and games, Touko goes home early, Yumi following her. She then talks about mono/outline maps and how nobody can really make their own perfect map when outlining their lives.

With the impulse of comforting Touko, in front of the Mary statue Yumi offers her rosary to her.

There was a joke about the rosary being all purpose... including as a lassoo and a fishing line

But Touko recites A Little Princess again, refusing Yumi's "Christmas Charity".

Then comes the new year slumber party organised by Sachiko's household. The whole Yamayurikai are invited, plus Touko, who doesn't show up. Sachiko expected as much, only doing it as a gesture that she is not going to be kicked out of the gang.

Wish we have things like this

Fun times are abound, but the underpinning theme is the episode title, "The Other Side of the Cloudy Glass", and it is featured in Yumi's dream, between Yumi and Touko lies a cloudy glass wall which she wiped furiously to no avail.

Election arc. After making a pass on Yumi, Touko surprises everyone by announcing her candidacy to become one of the three students in the council.

She's a Democrat

Still with motive unknown, Touko and the three existing Yamayurikai go into the polls. Evidently, Touko lost, but she appears to be appeased with the result. The strain between Yumi and Touko is greater than ever.

Can anyone remind me this is reminiscent of what scene again...

Like the previous year, the event for Valentine's Day is the Card Search, an invitation for a date. The Valentine's Day Card Search arc is the last storyline.

I'd hold the contest earlier so that the date would be on V-Day

Touko first meets Takashiro, the drama club's president. She offers Touko to be her sister, but then retracts it, knowing Touko loves Yumi. She also knows why Touko ran for the student council candidacy; to generate animosity and to get away from the Yamayurikai.

Then she encounters her cousin Kashiwagi at the school gates, who presses her for the events at Christmas, something Sachiko vaguely told him before.

In this scene she shouted at Kashiwagi she wanted to pee. This is no joke.

In her first act of You Make an Ass Out of You and Me, she thought Kashiwagi knew about Yumi's failed attempt last Christmas, which is not the case. Pissed, she retorts, but Kashiwagi reveals to her the motive of the psychological abuse she's playing out that is evident in many of us attention-seekers: we push away, but wanting to be saved. Kashiwagi warns her that if she continues running away, nobody will chase after her anymore.

In this scene she's taking a piss. This is no j- *shot*

The next day, on her way back home Noriko stumbles across Touko and gives her the Card Search leaflet.

Noriko also gave Touko her own date invitation card

Touko then meets Yumi. In the mellow state of her own, Yumi tries to clear the air - but Touko remains stubborn. Praying in front of the Mary statue, she utters something of a taboo to Touko.

Yumi lets Touko run her sharp mouth, but then asks Touko not to move until she counts to 100.

It's probably a good thing she didn't ask for 1000... or more

Touko goes back to the school compounds and confronts Sachiko.

If Sachiko didn't stay, this probably wouldn't have happened and we'll still have a pissy Drillhead

In her second act of You Make an Ass Out of You and Me, Touko accuses Sachiko of revealing Touko's secret to Yumi.

Of course, Sachiko tells her the real truth that she doesn't know anything.

On her knees and not knowing what to do, she remembers Yumi's orders and starts counting again, lamenting over the bonds she had severed all this time.

Why didn't she orz instead...

Noriko shows up, sacrificing her own time, and comforts Touko.

"I skipped watching the documentary because its rerun is on Friday at 9..."

Valentine's Day comes, as usual lovebirds exchange gifts. Yumi stumbles into the lovey-dovey Gigantea sisters.

Actually why are they doing it in front of the door?

Touko meets Sachiko at the stairs, and they exchange words. In it, Sachiko tells how being with the straightforward Yumi will reveal one's own weaknesses, yet Sachiko doesn't mind all this because she loves Yumi. Sachiko also deems Touko her current rival for Yumi's affections and especially for the card search, but as Touko looks to be leaving it might not be the case that she has to fight. Touko then agrees to participate in the card search.

"Yumi is like a mirror showing me all my weak points. I love that mirror."

While everyone else is frantically searching for the cards, Touko calmly runs over the clues for Yumi's card, then recollects her monomap conversation. She tries to find them inside atlases. Noriko, knowing where the card really is by Sachiko's own behaviour, confronts Touko saying that it's not as easy as she thinks. She won't find luck in an empty room.

Having recollected all her memories of Yumi, Touko summoned all her might and went to the Rose Mansion, only minutes before the card search ends.

Sachiko asks Yumi to stand up, she refused - but Touko comes barging into the room and asks Yumi to be her sister.

100% Dere

Yumi stands up just before time is up. Touko wins Yumi's card as it was Touko who made Yumi stand on her feet.

Honestly what were the clues to her card? "Check my butt" or something?

The epilogue is the good chunk of the last ep as I figured that the story ends with Touko's apology and request. Having won the date with Yumi for finding her card, Touko brings Yumi to her grandad's hospital. There, Touko's secrets are explained wholly to Yumi. Yumi ends the date, the trip to "Touko's heart", imagining on the way home the act of giving Touko the rosary in front of Sachiko.

Ahh that was an enjoyable experience. I need more stuff like this, and I think I have quite a few in mind on what to watch next. If you were thinking about my summary, I'm just borrowing skills I learned from people like DarkMirage or Kurogane but I hope I did my best.

Oh crap it's April already?

Which means March is a record low for least entries in a month D:

Anyway, I know that JLPT results were already out for ages but they don't send them directly to my mail so I have to go to my uni to get it... and I'm finding it hard to drive uptown or even deciding when to do it. I've been sleeping in the morning lately, but I'm starting to fix it from today. But ehhh Champions League quarterfinals are quite soon and those are on like at 3AM ~_~... I'll post up my results when I get them.

If I haven't been mentioning this, I'm playing Shirokishi Monogatari/White Knight Story. The gameplay is so Monster Hunter - online play that I'll never ever touch (MMO-xenophobia), the shiny spots with about 10 raw materials, sidequests to buy and go solo on etc... worst of all, the story is so cliche. The hero is a desperate and hapless guy too which to me is quite annoying. My personalised character in it is a black long-haired girl called Yuriko, specialising in spears.

Senjou no Valkyria~! I've only heard the chorus of HIMEKA's song and I agree with her that it needed more punch at that part but the lyrics are nice (nattokinase noted to me the lyricist is quite good), can't wait for May when it's out. Should I really go and buy the game and watch the anime side-by-side? Always a Sega fanboy, I am.

I wonder who else watches the current Marimite, so I should really put a spoiler cut. OMFG Touko is now Yumi's petite soeur! I love the twin-drillhead for a long time already but this comes as a nice surprise. The ED by Kaori Hikita is so emotionally awesome, and the song title is also the episode title when Touko first rejected Yumi; basically the song is Yumi asking Touko to open the window. It's always nice when you have the author of the series writing the theme songs because they will always come together well.

It has been quite an exciting few days on LJ, what with reviving OMGLM and befriending a few new people around. I should start writing more entries. And go record some singing. Who said I was busy?

Still no work ;A; virtually everyone's tried to console me and pat my back saying I'll get my break and not give up trying. But even my inheritance money's drying up faster than a puddle in the desert. I just seem to lack that extra thing - maybe I should think about taking some simple certs first to boost my CV up.

X Edge came straight to my mail at the weekend, which is a surprise because I usually have to go to the post office to pick it up (and I still had to pick up my sister's TonyTony Chopper hat there). That makes Tears to Tiara, Enchant Arm, Shirokishi Monogatari and now X Edge in my PS3 list of to-play games. I guess Senjou no Valkyria would have to wait till May.

An acquaintance of mine got married yesterday, so I went there by myself. Getting married in your mid-20s is nice, because you'll have kids old enough to support you if you retire when you're 50.And there's also this other thing...

Friend: (After discussing about another friend who got married a few years before) What's good about having kids when you're 18?
Me: Because when your kid grows up, you can become a MILF!
Friend: *rolls eyes*

...is it me or have the BL fans took over my f-list? Primarily tsunayoshi, wednesday_10_00 and now kelaude, you three need to get along. (or maybe not... but seriously, I don't mind the 801.)

Anyway, I've started playing Trusty Bell, or Eternal Sonata in the US. /slowpoke well, yea, the visuals are really nice, the gameplay is also challenging but the storyline is very depressing for a game like this. Aya Hirano playing the main heroine evokes me thinking whether her danchou voice will come out once in awhile. And you really don't know how highly I rate Chopin's seiyuu, Mitsuaki Madono. He's also the guy behind Kenichi's Siegfried and Busou Renkin's Chouno (also Bleach's Kon but I prefer his eccentric roles).

I spent a lot last week, forking out for a new PS3 DualShock controller and also Shirokishi Monogatari. But more importantly I finally got myself this!!! /suffers from T5

My family changed plans for next month so I missed out on a really huge thing, but I would probably be working already by then anyway. But yes the job front looks to be on the up. I just hope I can get through what's in the middle.

Lastly, I swear, watching the Premier League with Nico comments are often fun (save the small 荒らし). I'll have to write up about the footballing terms JP fans use on my footie blog in the near future.

...I have so few userpics for my new fandoms, sigh. Need to make more.

As already known by some of you already, me and nattokinase are now a happy couple (I'm the boke, as usual xD), after having known each other for years (she's one of my first LJ friends in fact). We're just starting out but I have all sorts of lifelong plans for us, so I'll need a lot of help from my Malaysian friends. Please pray for our happiness, you guys.

I feel that KOTOKO, C.G mix and Giga want the next Face of Fact to surface. Maybe this song will reach FoF's lofty heights, especially with its awesome, tear-inducing outro.

Its been raining as heck out here so this song suits the mood pretty well.

And finally I got off my ass and changed it. Picked something random from my moeboard collection. I'll be looking forward to the anime in the future.

It's been raining non-stop for two days. I'm kinda worried. Cracks inside the house are starting to show up. Water is seeping inside my room so I had to pull away the soggy rugs and mattresses, but it's worse downstairs. And I think it's also starting to get foggy... oh noes somebody's gonna get killed tomorrow morn, unless... *jumps inside the TV*

Also did a bit of furniture arranging today and I'm all tired now. *hits the sack*

Merry Advanced Christmas to you all~ (I know I won't post anything on that day, so...)

I'm playing Persona 4, play-by-play(?) commentary is in my Twitter (in JP only).

... in point form. (no spoilers, honest)

- I hate glasses, but this game is for the specs fetish.
- Haven't played the Megami Tensei series since the first Persona, so I'm kinda unfamiliar with things.
- I don't like it when the main hero doesn't say anything except choices... and this is a character-building game?
- The battle system's very nice. No random encounters, but monsters respawn fairly quickly. Just right for me.
- The pop quizzes littered in the game are kinda hard. There was one question: which kanji radical is the most used, and I'm not gonna bother counting the ones that have kusakanmuri and sanzui.
- People might say "why don't you use a walkthrough?" but from my experience, as soon as I see the walkthrough my willingness to play the game plummets considerably.
- Yukiko is the savior for us moephiles. Rest of the game is even close to being GAR-rific.
- Everyday Young Life~
- I know the pattern of the victims, but not who the killer is himself (suspected Yukiko at first lol). But I know I've met the killer before.
- Can someone try naming the hero 伊藤誠 and see if the killer gets him instead?
- Tried poking my TV screen. Doesn't work :( ...but then again I don't wanna meet "myself"...
- It's a good thing that this game doesn't move real-time...

Today I'm going to the second dungeon~

Woolworths is closing, a year before their centenary... this financial doom and gloom isn't helping the already-unemployed.

I was caught singing loudly in my car (it's the only place I can) by forgetting to end the call to my brother's. Free concert, made worse by my phone credit getting depleted a lot.

Then on the way back home... don't wanna give too much detail, but I brushed onto a careless driver who didn't look behind him and broke my right headlamp. That's $750. The other car went away quickly into a U-turn. Had it been a faster driver behind him it could easily have been an ugly scene.

I've been trying to be positive but shit happens all the time. Now almost all my savings from uni are gone.

I've been busy like heck the past few days. D: I thought NEET life was plain sailing, but since then I had to go uptown so many times I've lost count.

Point-form update then, saves you from tl;dr.

- Need to find time to finish marathoning SutoPani. OMG Hikari is so cute...
- The last thing I expect from Obama is for him to introduce dangdut to the US. But if he does, I need to warn you. It's like an evil virus. Please steer clear of it.
- My old laptop Taiyaki died a 2nd time D: Probably will discontinue his service, looks like it's not worth reviving him.
- Still at least 19 days of no console gaming due to the mourning period of my dad's death. By which time Winning Eleven 2009 would be days from launch so, stuff like X Edge would have to wait till I get a job and be less busy.
- Being swayed here and there over whether working for the government or private sector. Both has pros and cons.
- Having a car to yourself is fun, until you pay for the gas it consumes.
- New LJ profile looks fugly. But like always with LJ, you'd have to get used to it.

Ugh I have to go out again this morning ~_~; never a moment's rest for this NEET.

I swear, if anybody sings Auld Lang Syne or Hotaru no Hikari or even Aogeba Toutoshi right now I'd break down. I'm just a sucker for graduation/parting/appreciation songs.

Anyway, yesterday's final dress rehearsal went smoothly, I was pushed up to the 5th row so after the big moment I'm gonna have to spend the rest of the morning just sitting calmly and hoping I don't cross my legs (a no-no with Bruneian manners) because liek, next there's 30 rows of graduates after me.

Yesterday was also my birthday, and while there was no cake or party there was a small celebration and a small strawberry spongecake from my sis (she's poking fun of my recent viewing of Strawberry Panic). I got a few messages already so thank you those who did!

Now I'll be off because I need to arrive at 6AM for the actual day so staying uptown is the wise choice. Hope I get some presents later too :3

First of all a huge and sincere thank you for all the touching messages of the last entry. You guys are the best, you always bring me up when it's all in the dark and I promise I won't let you down.

My graduation day is a week from now, so I'll have to go up to uni for 3 rounds of rehearsals before that since it's gonna be shown live on TV and the one handing out my degree to me is none other than the Sultan. Though I wonder, why is it on a Thursday...

Up till now everything was messed up. They gave me a used gown my mom wants me to pay in full after graduating with some buttons missing and I can't ask for a switch, because I was late in filling out the gown form. I should have known better really. The full garb is so thick and tacky I'd sweat a lot in it.

JOKER (Yuinyan's album) and Enchant Arm came in the mail today. I want a few things for my birthday (it's on the 28th) too so I hope everything gets better from now on. Especially my health, I've currently got a bad case of the flu.

Though I can't give him the invitation physically, I'm sure he'll be there at the graduation ceremony. This is all for you, dad.

And to He we will all return.

All my LJ friends, watchers and all alike, my father passed away suddenly to a heart attack this morning. He was 52.

The funeral's just over with but there's gonna be 40 days of mourning in this house.

I love you father, you were a great person, I'm proud to have been your son. If only I as well as everyone else had the chance to say goodbye.

Forgive me for all the sins I've committed to you, and you will always and forever be in my prayers. It's my lifelong duty from now on.

I finally got a universal adapter on this laptop because I burned the one for it. Time to do a lot of stuff that was due, e.g. a new LJ layout.

For today though, I'm gonna have to visit my grandma's grave. I can still remember an incident when people laughed at me when I told them I was gonna visit some graves. Don't they have their own relatives that had passed away? I bet they do, but they don't care about them anymore, which is pretty mean, just for the sake of moral argument.

You see, I unnecessarily have 4 Photobucket accounts (gave one to fusionstar) but I'm having trouble remembering the pass for my main one... sigh, reset pass we go.

But the main thing about Photobucket is that the ads on their site make the site interface really heavy to load. I often took a few tries to upload my pics in the past because of the complicated page scripts raping the connection and messing up the user page (prolly I should just use an adblocker...).

I don't really like imageshack and their confusing URLs but can anyone say what's good about it if they're actively using it (or any other pic hosting place especially if it has similar features to PhoBuc)?
